Job Overview: A growing law firm is seeking an experienced Small Business Litigation and Transaction Lawyer to represent small businesses in a variety of legal matters. This role involves handling transactional work, conflict-driven cases, and litigation, focusing on assisting clients with business-related legal issues. Duties:

  • Draft and review documents for business transactions, including LLC formation, customer and employee contracts, vendor agreements, and business sale agreements.
  • Handle conflict-driven cases such as business "divorces," breach of contract matters, and commercial collections.
  • Represent clients in litigation, including disputes escalated to the courthouse.
  • Provide ongoing legal counsel to clients, often developing long-term relationships in an outside general counsel capacity.
  • Collaborate within a non-hierarchical team to deliver exceptional client service and legal solutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in small business litigation and transactional law.
  • Ability to handle conflict-driven cases and transition into litigation when necessary.
  • Strong communication skills, both with clients and within the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a diverse caseload in a client-focused environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a work-life balance and meeting billing expectations.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar in Texas.
