A law firm is seeking an experienced Alcohol and Distribution Associate Attorney to join its team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in alcohol beverage law, related regulatory experience, and a robust commercial corporate background. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal counsel and support on alcohol beverage regulatory matters.
  • Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local alcohol distribution laws and regulations.
  • Handle commercial corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents related to the alcohol beverage industry.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop strategies and solutions for their legal and business needs.
  • Independently manage matters or significant segments of complex cases and facilitate project completion.
  • Provide practical legal advice based on risk assessment and business goals.
  • Represent clients in regulatory proceedings and before government agencies.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in alcohol beverage law.
  • Experience in other regulatory fields, such as FDA/food law, is encouraged.
  • Strong commercial corporate background with experience in mergers and acquisitions.
  • Proven ability to independently manage legal matters and push projects to completion.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in Texas.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Texas.
