Job Overview: A reputable law firm based in Northbrook, IL, is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Estate Planning Attorney. This role requires a dedicated professional with strong expertise in estate planning, trust administration, and probate law. The attorney will handle a broad range of estate planning matters, working closely with high-net-worth clients to ensure their wealth transfer objectives are met while navigating complex legal and tax-related issues.

Duties:

  • Provide strategic legal advice on estate planning, wealth preservation, and tax minimization.
  • Draft comprehensive estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Manage estate and trust administration processes, including probate and estate tax return preparation.
  • Review client assets and financial portfolios to develop personalized estate plans.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in the state of practice.
  • 5-7 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.

  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently and meet deadlines.
