Job Overview:
A law firm in San Jose, CA is seeking a motivated associate attorney with a solid foundation in employment law and litigation. This hybrid role involves representing employers in a wide range of employment-related matters, including litigation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings. Duties:

• Represent employers in employment-related litigation, arbitration, and administrative hearings

• Defend against individual and class/collective action lawsuits, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination matters

• Provide guidance and training to corporate clients on labor and employment legal issues and compliance strategies

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and memoranda

• Conduct legal research and manage case files from inception through resolution

• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations

• Maintain effective communication with clients, co-counsel, and internal teams

• Support strategic planning and risk mitigation for employer clients

Requirements:

• 4–6 years of post-JD legal experience, preferably with a focus on employment litigation

• Demonstrated understanding of state and federal employment statutes and regulations

• Proven ability to manage complex case files and deadlines

• Prior experience with class action or PAGA litigation is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing
