Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a qualified Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney to join their team in Morristown, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions, and providing coverage advice to clients. The attorney will conduct rigorous legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda. The role involves preparing and reviewing pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with supporting briefs, and other legal correspondence. Additionally, the attorney will formally correspond with opposing counsel and other parties and attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.

Duties:

• Analyze insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage advice to clients.
• Conduct rigorous legal research, analyze findings and draft memoranda.
• Prepare and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with supporting briefs, and other legal correspondence.
• Engage in formal correspondence with opposing counsel and other parties.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in complex insurance coverage litigation matters; OR Complex commercial litigation experience
• Admitted to practice in New Jersey; additional admissions are a plus
• Excellent academic credentials
• Exceptional legal writing and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New Jersey State Bar; additional admissions are a plus
