Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking an exceptional Real Estate Associate with at least 2 years of transactional real estate experience. The ideal candidate will work closely with experienced attorneys in the firm’s Real Estate Group and have the opportunity to collaborate with the Global Hospitality Group®. The position offers exposure to various real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, joint ventures, construction, development, and leasing. Under the guidance of active partners, the associate will play an integral role in negotiating and drafting transactional agreements, performing due diligence, and assisting in the closing of deals.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Assist with the negotiation and drafting of real estate transactional agreements
  • Perform due diligence in real estate transactions
  • Participate in the closing of real estate deals
  • Advise clients on various aspects of real estate law, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and development
  • Work collaboratively with members of the Real Estate Group and other departments such as hospitality, tax, and corporate law
  • Support senior attorneys in a wide range of real estate matters, including joint ventures, construction, and leasing
  • Contribute to the firm’s broad portfolio of clients, including owners, operators, investors, developers, lenders, and private equity firms

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of real estate transactional experience
  • Strong experience in handling sophisticated real estate transactions
  • Prior experience in finance and leasing is desired
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of real estate law, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing
  • Strong proficiency in drafting and negotiating real estate agreements
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple practice areas
