Job Overview

A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Toxic Tort Associate Attorney to join its asbestos practice group. The role involves managing complex toxic tort and environmental liability cases, both locally and nationally. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-stakes litigation and be part of a collaborative and supportive legal team. Location

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties

  • Handle local and national litigation cases throughout California.
  • Independently manage a litigation caseload.
  • Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for depositions and trial.
  • Review and analyze discovery requests, responses, and pleadings.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery and court filings, with experience in e-filing.
  • Provide trial preparation and support.
  • Maintain accurate time records in accordance with firm policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in complex litigation, toxic tort liability, or environmental liability.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in the state of California.
  • Experience with motion practice and depositions, including taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions.
  • Capable of managing cases independently and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal matters and develop strategic solutions.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to the California State Bar.
