A law firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in Greenbelt, MD. Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist senior attorneys in all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including briefs, memos, and motions.
• Participate in depositions, court appearances, and trials.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information.
• Negotiate settlements and engage in mediation efforts.
• Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and prepare for trial.
• Stay current with developments in the law and best practices in litigation.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland.
• Licensure in Virginia and the District of Columbia is a plus.
• 0-2 years of litigation experience.
• Strong academic and employment credentials.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
