Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Regulatory Attorney to join its highly regarded financial regulatory practice. This role focuses on advising clients on banking regulations, compliance matters, and financial services oversight. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively on individual and team-based projects, frequently engaging with clients worldwide.

Duties

  • Provide legal counsel on federal and state banking regulations and financial compliance matters.

  • Assist clients in navigating evolving regulatory frameworks and risk management strategies.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across financial services, government investigations, and compliance teams.

  • Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and prepare regulatory filings.

  • Interact with domestic and international clients, occasionally outside standard business hours.

Requirements

  • 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial regulatory law.

  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Experience working with financial institutions, regulatory bodies, or compliance firms is preferred but not required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree.

  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar preferred.
