A well-established law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its expanding Privacy & Data Security Group and Litigation Group. The ideal candidate will have experience in privacy and cybersecurity law, with exposure to litigation and regulatory matters. The role offers a chance to collaborate with experienced professionals and grow within a dynamic legal team.

Duties

  • Advise clients on compliance with U.S. and international privacy regulations.
  • Negotiate complex transactions involving the transfer and processing of personal information.
  • Assist clients in responding to cyberattacks and data exposure events.
  • Defend companies in class action litigation arising from data breaches and privacy violations.
  • Provide legal counsel on privacy matters and cybersecurity law.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to manage privacy and data security risks for clients.
  • Develop and refine legal strategies related to privacy protection and cybersecurity.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with active licensure in PA or MD.
  • 1-3 years of experience in privacy and cybersecurity law, with exposure to litigation and regulatory matters.
  • CIPP certification (Certified Information Privacy Professional) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and driven to succeed.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • CIPP certification is a plus.
  • Active bar licensure in PA or MD.
