A law firm in Leesburg, VA, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transactional Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting Partners' matters, and representing clients in various transactional needs. The individual must demonstrate a strong understanding of commercial law, possess excellent communication skills, and uphold the ethical and professional standards of the Virginia State Bar.

Duties:

  • Work closely with Partners on client matters, providing legal expertise in transactional needs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Conduct meetings with new clients to assess their needs, identify goals, and determine the best legal course of action.
  • Ensure timely entry of time and billing details in accordance with firm best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Firm Administrator and Managing Partner to support overall firm goals.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards set by the Virginia State Bar and other applicable bars.

Requirements:

  • Active Virginia State Bar Membership in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of corporate and/or transactional experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial law.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including capturing, detailing, and follow-up.
  • Professionalism in interactions with team members.
  • Commitment to the professional, integrity, and loyalty values integral to the firm.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Skills:

  • Proficient in technology, including Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Preferred: Membership in Delaware, NY, DC, MD, or FL Bar.
  • Preferred: Experience with Clio and NetDocuments software.
