Job Overview:
A dynamic law firm specializing in Elder Law, Trusts & Estates, Guardianships & Conservatorships, and Estate Planning is currently seeking a litigation associate attorney. This firm fosters a collaborative office environment and supports a work-life balance for its legal professionals. The firm handles both contested and uncontested litigation cases, alongside some transactional work. The successful candidate will receive direct mentorship from senior partners while developing and managing their caseload.

Duties:

  • Provide legal support to senior partners and independently manage a caseload.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze relevant case law and statutes.
  • Represent clients in court hearings and administrative proceedings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and legal advice.
  • Attend and participate in community outreach programs, such as Senior Law Days and the Senior Law Handbook.
  • Stay updated on developments within Elder Law and Trust & Estate sections in the local legal community.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of legal experience, ideally within Elder Law, Litigation, or Estate Planning.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with Judicial Department Forms, Clio, and Colorado Courts E-Filing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Elder Law and Estate Planning is highly desirable.
