Restaurant Retail Litigation Defense Attorney

A law firm specializing in restaurant retail defense seeks a seasoned Restaurant Retail Litigation Defense Attorney with over 7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have substantial litigation experience in Texas state courts, particularly defending restaurant and retail establishments.

Duties:

• Provide comprehensive defense services to restaurant and retail companies facing litigation, including navigating personal injury claims, regulatory compliance issues, premises liability concerns, and other pertinent matters within the restaurant and retail sector.
• Collaborate on Department of Health compliance, food/safety consultant, accident reconstruction, and assembling forensic evidence as needed.
• Represent clients in state court litigation proceedings, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant case law and statutes.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as required.
• Collaborate with partners on case strategy and client communication.
• Prepare for and participate in trial proceedings as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
• Stay updated with changes in restaurant and retail laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• 7+ years of litigation experience, preferably in specified practice areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Litigation experience in Texas state courts.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
• Legal research and analysis skills.
• Trial preparation and courtroom experience.

Education:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Valid license to practice law in Texas.

Skills:
