Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of case management, including responsive pleadings, discovery, and depositions (fact and plaintiff).
  • Strategize and evaluate cases under the guidance of senior attorneys.
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses to support case development.
  • Engage in case negotiations and attend mediations.
  • Prepare for and assist with trial proceedings.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and other legal counsel.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in health law.
  • Proven ability to manage case activities and deadlines independently.
  • Strong communication, writing, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial legal environment.
  • Client-focused with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar (or ability to obtain membership if not currently licensed).

  • Strong knowledge of medical malpractice and health law defense strategies.
  • Expertise in case management, litigation, and trial preparation.
  • Skilled in deposition taking and legal negotiations.
  • Ability to collaborate with expert witnesses and legal professionals.
