Job Title: Mid-Level Health Care Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A reputable law firm located in Dallas, TX is seeking a mid-level associate for its Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice Group. This position requires a dedicated attorney with a solid background in healthcare litigation and disputes. The ideal candidate will contribute to a dynamic team, supporting a wide range of employee benefits and executive compensation matters.

Duties:

  • Draft, design, implement, and administer tax-qualified and non-qualified retirement plans as well as health and welfare benefit plans.
  • Address executive compensation and benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Navigate taxation issues related to executive compensation arrangements, specifically Sections 409A and 280G of the Internal Revenue Code.
  • Develop and draft employment and other executive compensation arrangements.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance and grow the national practice while maintaining high standards of client service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
  • Proven law firm experience with a high level of academic achievement.
  • Exceptional writing, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Strong ambition, drive, and a team-oriented mindset to support and expand the practice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active law license in good standing.

Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of employee benefits, executive compensation, and relevant tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
