Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a highly motivated Real Estate Associate with 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions to join their LA office. This opportunity provides the chance to work on sophisticated real estate matters with some of the industry's top lawyers. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting and revising commercial leases and purchase agreements, as well as strong organizational and analytical skills.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, California

Duties:

  • Draft and revise commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, and other real estate-related documents.
  • Conduct title and survey reviews.
  • Assist with closing commercial purchase and sale transactions.
  • Provide legal support in a variety of real estate matters.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team, handling significant individual responsibilities.
  • Manage complex real estate matters and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Participate in negotiations and communications with clients, opposing parties, and other stakeholders.
  • Continuously develop expertise in the real estate industry.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Experience drafting and revising commercial leases and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Strong background in title and survey review and closing purchase and sale transactions.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent writing, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and a desire to learn and grow.
  • Interest in the real estate industry, including active participation in ULI, NAIOP, or CREFC preferred.
  • Am Law 200 law firm experience is preferred.
  • A high level of academic achievement.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California is required.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex transactions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
