Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Product Design and User Interface Patent Agent in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, relevant engineering and industry experience, and exceptional writing and communication skills to navigate complex patent matters.

Duties:

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications related to product design and user interfaces.
• Conduct patentability assessments and freedom-to-operate analyses.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their technology and business needs.
• Draft and review patent claims and specifications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technological advancements.
• Assist in litigation support and opinions on patent validity and infringement.
• Mentor junior patent agents and support team initiatives.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the USPTO.
• Degree in physics, electrical engineering, or computer science.

Preferred Experience:

• Software-related technologies.
• Artificial intelligence technologies.
• IoT, networking, and related technologies.
• Quantum technologies.
