Job Overview:
A well-established, mid-sized law firm located in New Jersey is currently seeking an Associate Attorney with 1 to 5 years of experience in commercial litigation. Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in commercial, civil, and insurance defense litigation

  • Manage cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation

  • Handle municipal prosecution and court appearances when assigned

  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

  • Conduct legal research and prepare supporting memoranda

  • Attend court hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions

  • Collaborate with colleagues on litigation strategy and case management

  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials

Requirements:

  • 1 to 5 years of litigation experience (commercial or civil litigation preferred)

  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills

  • Professional demeanor with excellent organizational and time management abilities

  • Must submit salary expectations and three professional references with application

  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
