Duties

  • Evaluate new case files to develop action plans, set budgets, and suggest legal strategies.
  • Identify pleading requirements and delegate appropriate tasks to paralegals and support staff.
  • Prepare discovery responses and manage document production efficiently.
  • Attend depositions, hearings, and other legal events, providing comprehensive reports.
  • Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and assist in trial preparations as needed.
  • Maintain continuous communication with paralegals, legal assistants, and clients for case updates.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably with a focus on insurance or related areas.
  • Licensed to practice law in Mississippi.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a willingness to learn new legal technologies.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
