Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a dedicated Personal Injury Litigation Attorney. This role involves handling a diverse caseload with a focus on personal injury matters, primarily auto accidents and slip and fall cases. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with strong support staff, enabling attorneys to focus on case strategy and client advocacy.

Duties:

• Manage a full caseload of personal injury litigation, including auto accidents, slip and fall incidents, and other injury-related claims.
• Represent clients throughout all stages of litigation, from pre-suit negotiation to trial preparation and court appearances.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and ensure their needs are met.
• Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to build case strategies.
• Collaborate with paralegals and other staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as required.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Stay current on relevant legal trends, statutes, and case law.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in personal injury litigation (plaintiff or defense experience preferred).
• Valid Bar license to practice in the state of Florida.
• Proven ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar license in Florida.

Skills:

• Personal injury law expertise, particularly in auto accidents and slip and fall cases.
• Litigation experience, including trial preparation and court proceedings.
• Negotiation and settlement skills.
• Strong research and writing abilities.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
