Job Title: Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney

Job Location: Orlando, FL (Remote options available for Florida offices)

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced and skilled Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Insurance Coverage practice group. This role requires expertise in legal research, writing, and litigation, with a focus on providing high-quality legal support to clients. The firm offers a supportive and inclusive environment where professional growth is encouraged.

Duties:

  • Perform detailed file review and legal analysis of insurance claims and causes of action.
  • Conduct extensive legal research and draft comprehensive briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
  • Represent clients regularly in court, at arbitration sessions, and during depositions.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests.
  • Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses.
  • Prepare for and attend trials as needed.
  • Meet the annual billable hour requirement of 1950 hours.
  • Some travel may be required for client meetings and case handling.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance coverage law (preferred).
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice in the state of Florida; additional state bar admissions are a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and litigation skills.
  • Strong research capabilities and excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage workload independently and in a collaborative team setting.
  • Strong client service skills and professional telephone manners.
  • Must be prompt in responding to emails and phone inquiries.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Florida State Bar (other states are beneficial but not required).

Skills:

  • Superior legal research and writing abilities.
  • Strong litigation skills with a focus on insurance law.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in legal work.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
