A law firm seeks an organized and client-focused Intake Attorney to join its legal team in Birmingham, AL, with the option for some remote work. Duties:

  • Work with the Intake Department to assess and triage potential new clients who contact the firm.
  • Provide consultations to prospective clients, clearly explaining legal processes and options.
  • Assist in determining the legal needs of clients and ensuring proper case assignment within the firm.
  • Communicate effectively with prospective clients to provide a positive experience from initial contact.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to ensure a smooth handoff of cases and efficient case management.
  • Utilize a client management system to document and track client inquiries and intake details.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a customer-focused or sales-oriented role, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts.
  • Active and in good standing with the Bar, with no pending or prior disciplinary actions.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a demonstrated history of excellence in professional settings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency with legal case management software (e.g., Clio) and comfortable working in a Windows environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar License required.
