The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and solid law firm experience, with exposure to complex case management being a plus. The role involves handling various aspects of litigation, including discovery, brief writing, and pre-trial preparation.

Duties:

  • Manage and contribute to complex litigation cases, including case strategy and development.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
  • Handle discovery tasks, including gathering and reviewing evidence, and preparing discovery requests and responses.
  • Assist in pre-trial preparation, including witness preparation and trial strategy.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop and implement case strategies.
  • Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with legal deadlines.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of general litigation experience, including discovery, brief writing, and pre-trial preparation.
  • High level of academic achievement and solid law firm experience preferred.
  • Exposure to complex case management is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in New York State or the ability to obtain admission.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
