A law firm seeks an experienced and dedicated Real Estate Leasing Associate to join its team in New York. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in commercial real estate leasing, particularly with office, retail, and ground leases for Class A properties. Duties:

  • Represent clients in various commercial real estate leasing transactions, with a primary focus on office, retail, and ground leases.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate leasing agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and client objectives.
  • Advise clients on lease terms, conditions, and other key provisions, providing strategic legal counsel.
  • Manage leasehold and real estate matters, including handling negotiations with landlords and tenants.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely execution of lease agreements.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals to address complex issues in real estate transactions.
  • Maintain detailed records of leasing transactions and ensure accuracy in documentation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial real estate leasing, particularly in office, retail, and ground leasing.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle complex transactions and offer strategic legal advice.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials are required.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of New York.

Skills:

  • Expertise in commercial real estate law and leasing transactions.
  • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills, particularly in real estate agreements.
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, for effective client interaction.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage complex legal matters.
