Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced and dedicated Family Law Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in family law, particularly in the Bay Area, and a strong commitment to the practice area. This full-time position offers flexibility to work both in and out of the office and provides an excellent work environment with a cooperative, caring team and attractive client base.

Location:

  • Berkeley, CA 

Duties:

  • Handle family law cases, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division.
  • Manage cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions.
  • Provide legal counsel and advice to clients regarding family law issues.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court hearings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure clients receive comprehensive legal services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law developments, particularly in the Bay Area.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in family law, particularly in the Bay Area.
  • Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Strong understanding of family law issues, including custody, divorce, and support matters.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative and solution-oriented approach to legal challenges.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active California Bar license (required).
