The ideal candidate will have a proven history of managing a high caseload and providing expert representation through all stages of the trial process. This role requires a professional who is capable of mentoring junior attorneys while handling a significant volume of cases. Duties:

• Oversee a caseload of 100-120 personal injury cases, ensuring smooth progress from initial filing to settlement or trial
• Represent clients in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
• Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests
• Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters
• Negotiate settlements both inside and outside of court
• Perform legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other documents as necessary
• Attend and prepare for trial, mediation, and arbitration
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and associates
• Keep up to date with local, state, and federal laws affecting personal injury practice

Requirements:

• Active membership in the NY State Bar and good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury law, with at least 2 years in a senior associate or lead role
• Proven success in trial, settlement negotiations, mediation, and arbitration
• Strong client relationship management skills
• Ability to handle complex cases with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active NY State Bar License

Skills:

• High level of proficiency in legal research, writing, and drafting legal documents
• Ability to handle a large caseload efficiently
• Strong interpersonal and client communication abilities
