Attorney/Civil Litigator

Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Civil Litigator for its DC Metro Office located in Alexandria, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have substantial litigation experience and a desire to lead case management in both state and federal courts. This role offers immediate first-chair experience and the opportunity to work across various litigation stages, including depositions, motions, settlement negotiations, and trials.

Duties:

• Lead case management in civil litigation matters
• Handle depositions, motions practice, and settlement negotiations
• Represent clients in state and federal court trials in DC, Maryland, and Virginia
• Provide exceptional client service and strategic legal advice
• Conduct thorough legal research and produce superior legal writing
• Take a leading role in case handling from inception through resolution

Requirements:

• 4-8 years of civil litigation experience
• Strong background in legal writing and research
• Exceptional client service and communication skills
• Must be admitted to practice in DC, Maryland, or Virginia
• Ability to take a lead role in case management and litigation strategy

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Bar membership in DC, Maryland, or Virginia required
