Associate Attorney with 0-2 years of experience

A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join their team in Fargo, ND. This entry-level position is designed for candidates with 0-2 years of experience, including clerkship experience. The new associate will provide support in the firm’s litigation and business practice groups, with the opportunity to specialize in one area over time and develop an independent practice.

Duties:

• Assist senior attorneys in litigation and business law matters.
• Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Participate in client meetings and communications to ensure exceptional client service.
• Collaborate with team members to analyze cases and develop legal solutions.
• Gradually take on more responsibility in managing cases and client relationships.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• License to practice law in North Dakota or ability to obtain it before starting.
• Licensure in Minnesota or South Dakota is encouraged but not required.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in North Dakota, or able to obtain licensure before employment.
