Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its corporate litigation and transactional team in New York, NY. Duties:

• Draft and review legal documents, including motions, briefs, and memoranda of law.
• Represent clients in various litigation matters, with a focus on tort-defense, employment law, and business disputes.
• Conduct and defend depositions, participate in court hearings, and represent clients in pre-trial litigation matters.
• Manage multiple legal matters simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy.
• Provide legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on complex cases, offering support and insight as necessary.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders in legal matters.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on tort defense, management-side labor and employment, and general business litigation.
• Strong writing and research skills, with experience drafting legal motions and memoranda.
• Ability to conduct depositions and represent clients in court hearings.
• Solid organizational and time management skills to handle multiple matters efficiently.
• Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
• High attention to detail and ability to think critically under pressure.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to the New York State Bar.
