Criminal Defense Attorney

Location:

Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and prepare legal documents for cases.
• Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide strategic advice following each hearing.
• Manage court appearances, trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and performing legal research.
• Analyze probable case outcomes based on legal precedents and case facts.
• Handle a caseload of criminal defense matters, ensuring timely and thorough attention to each case.
• Provide clients with legal analysis to determine case benefits and potential strategies.
• Gather evidence to support the client's case or challenge the prosecution's charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions, develop case strategies, and gather essential information from witnesses and experts.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in criminal defense.
• Experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate with associates and legal staff.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the relevant state Bar.
