Duties:

  • Represent lenders, tax equity investors, and other stakeholders in renewable energy project finance transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate project finance agreements, including loan agreements, security agreements, and other financing documents.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients on complex legal and regulatory matters.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to manage transaction processes from initiation to closing.
  • Assist in structuring project finance transactions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Review and analyze environmental, tax, and financing documents related to renewable energy projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external parties, including clients, counsel, and consultants, to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and legal precedents affecting the renewable energy sector.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of transactional experience in project finance, preferably with a focus on renewable energy.
  • Experience representing lenders or tax equity investors in project finance transactions.
  • Strong academic credentials, demonstrating excellence in legal education and practice.
  • Exceptional writing and analytical skills, with the ability to draft complex legal documents clearly and accurately.
  • Solid understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks governing renewable energy projects.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with a focus on delivering client-centered solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to the Texas State Bar or eligible to become licensed to practice law in Texas.

  • Advanced legal research and analytical abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting capabilities.
