Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload involving medical malpractice, laboratory medicine, and professional liability matters.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft high-quality legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings.
  • Take and defend depositions in federal and state court.
  • Argue motions and represent clients in court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses and prepare them for testimony.
  • Develop trial strategies and assist in trial preparation.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and provide timely updates on case progress.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting business litigation.

Requirements

  • Admission to practice law in Florida.
  • 3-5 years of experience in medical malpractice, laboratory medicine, and professional liability matters.
  • Clerkship and employment litigation experience preferred.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
