The successful candidate must be licensed to practice in North Carolina and possess a Juris Doctorate or better. This role offers an opportunity to work on challenging litigation matters and participate in a supportive and inclusive work environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a diverse caseload of litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and drafting of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and alternative dispute resolution forums.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members on case strategy and development.
  • Manage client relationships and communicate case progress effectively.
  • Attend depositions, mediations, and other case-related meetings as necessary.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
  • Participate in firm initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the practice.

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
  • Juris Doctorate or better from an accredited law school.
  • 4+ years of litigation experience.
  • 1-3 years of prior insurance defense experience encouraged.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education:

Juris Doctorate or better from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the North Carolina State Bar.
