Job Overview:
A respected national law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Real Estate and Finance department located in Omaha, Nebraska. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a motivated attorney to gain hands-on experience in complex real estate and asset-based finance transactions, including specialty finance, real estate development and leasing, affordable housing, and restructuring or workout matters. Location:

  • Omaha, Nebraska

Duties:

  • Draft and review financial and transaction-related documents

  • Conduct and manage real estate-related due diligence

  • Analyze and negotiate leasing and purchase/sale agreements

  • Collaborate with partners on various finance, development, and restructuring matters

  • Provide strategic legal support for specialty finance and real estate projects

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Nebraska State Bar or ability to be admitted within one year

  • Demonstrated interest or experience in:

    • Business and real estate finance transactions

    • Leasing and development projects

    • Affordable housing

    • Bankruptcy or restructuring matters

  • Strong commitment to meeting client goals and deadlines

  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently and in teams

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school

  • Strong academic performance preferred

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Nebraska (or eligibility for admission within one year)

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong legal research and analytical abilities
