Duties:

  • Handle all phases of litigation, including preparing responsive pleadings, written discovery, depositions, and dispositive motions
  • Manage trial preparation and attend hearings and trials as necessary
  • Communicate regularly with partners and clients regarding the status of litigated matters
  • Work on various types of cases, including general liability, personal injury, habitability, and employment law
  • Collaborate with the legal team to develop and implement effective litigation strategies

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of relevant litigation experience
  • Membership in the California Bar (Required)
  • Strong experience with written discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar (Required)

Skills:

  • Work on general liability, personal injury, habitability, and employment law cases.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Proficiency in drafting pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
  • Experience managing complex cases from start to finish
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, partners, and team members
