A reputable law firm is seeking a Public Finance Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its Finance Practice Group. The firm boasts a robust public finance practice, particularly in Healthcare Finance, Economic Development, Housing, TIF and Special Assessment, Infrastructure, and Education. This position involves representing borrowers, issuers, financial institutions, and other entities in public finance transactions.

Duties

  • Provide counsel on public finance transactions as bond counsel, lender’s counsel, and disclosure counsel.
  • Collaborate with state agencies, municipalities, and governmental entities.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to public finance.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage matters efficiently while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Engage in direct interaction with partners and clients.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in public finance.
  • Experience with bond counsel, lender’s counsel, and disclosure counsel roles.
  • Familiarity with state agencies, municipalities, and governmental entities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

  • Active member of the bar in the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice.
  • Timely admission to the bar coinciding with the office of hire is required.
