Duties

• Manage High-Volume Caseload: Oversee approximately 150 cases, with about 50 in active litigation each month, managing each case from intake to resolution or jury verdict.
• Client Engagement: Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients, ensuring they feel supported throughout the legal process.
• Conduct Litigation Activities: Handle all aspects of litigation, including depositions, drafting motions, responding to motions, leading mediations, and developing strategic case plans.
• Trial Advocacy: Act as lead counsel in jury trials, working diligently to secure favorable outcomes for clients.

Requirements

• Legal Experience: Minimum of 3 years practicing personal injury or civil litigation; 5-8 years preferred. Experience in both plaintiff and defense roles is valuable, though plaintiff-side experience in civil litigation is preferred.
• Licensure: Active and in good standing with the State Bar; multiple state bar admissions are a plus.
• Trial Experience: Minimum of 5+ first-chair trial verdicts required, with a preference for candidates who have achieved 10+ first-chair jury verdicts. Proficiency in the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to articulate legal strategies, engage effectively with clients, and collaborate with team members.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership with the State Bar.
