Duties

• Serve as a key contributor on private fund formation matters for VC and growth equity funds

• Advise fund sponsors across a broad range of legal and regulatory topics

• Manage fund-side legal work for clients within the innovation and venture capital ecosystem

• Draft, review, and negotiate fund documentation

• Collaborate with cross-functional legal teams across multiple office locations

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in private fund formation and investment management

• Demonstrated experience representing venture capital and growth equity fund managers

• Strong academic credentials

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

• Exceptional writing and communication ability

• Active bar membership in the state of intended practice

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active and good standing member of the State Bar in the applicable jurisdiction

Salaries are in line with other top Bay Area firms, and the firm provides a sizable bonus for all lawyers who bill at least 1,950 hours, with additional money based on three separate billable-hour levels above 1,950.
