A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its federal litigation practice, focusing on challenging delayed or denied immigration benefit petitions and participating in impact litigation that applies administrative law principles. Duties

  • Analyze administrative records to identify legal grounds for challenging adverse agency decisions.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research on immigration and administrative law issues.
  • Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, in federal courts.
  • Represent clients in federal court by preparing and delivering oral arguments.
  • Present litigation strategies and updates to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on business development initiatives.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of administrative law and immigration-related legal frameworks.
  • Work closely with colleagues to resolve client issues and advance case objectives.
  • Maintain regular client communication regarding procedural updates and case progress.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in federal court litigation, with a solid foundation in administrative law principles.
  • Litigation experience representing or against federal government agencies is welcomed.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
  • Willingness to travel for business development and professional networking events.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
