Job Overview:

A law firm specializing in international trade law seeks a motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join its dynamic practice group in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will focus on ITC Section 337 investigations, with additional expertise in various international trade remedy investigations.

Job Details:

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on international trade laws, regulations, and precedents.
  • Represent clients in ITC Section 337 investigations and other international trade remedy proceedings.
  • Collaborate with the international trade practice group to develop legal strategies and provide sound legal advice.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including complaints, briefs, and motions.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing timely and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Excellent academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • 2-5 years of experience in ITC Section 337 investigations and/or other international trade remedy investigations.
  • Knowledge and experience in antidumping, countervailing, safeguards, Section 232 national security reviews, and Section 301 proceedings are a plus.
  • An undergraduate technical degree is helpful, but not mandatory.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Washington, D.C. Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in legal software and Microsoft Office suite.
