Job Overview: A prestigious law firm in San Diego is seeking a talented Mid-Level Venture and Growth Associate Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. This position involves lender-side representation in commercial finance matters, particularly loans to technology, life sciences, and middle-market companies. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of the legal landscape within these industries.

Duties:

• Engage in lender-side representation for commercial finance matters
• Collaborate with clients, fellow lawyers, and business professionals to address legal needs
• Produce high-quality deliverables, including legal documents and correspondence
• Manage deadlines and expectations to ensure timely completion of work
• Maintain compliance with firm policies and practices
• Participate in virtual meetings, digital conference calls, and in-person meetings as required
• Balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and accuracy
• Handle other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in lender-side representation for commercial finance
• Experience working with banks or private credit funds on loans in technology, life sciences, or middle market sectors
• Experience in a large law firm, ideally an AmLaw 100 firm
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Admission to the California Bar

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to practice law in California
