Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Boston is seeking an experienced Health Care Litigation Attorney to join its established team. This firm has a diverse client base, including nonprofits, for-profits, and public sector entities within the healthcare, human services, and related sectors. The role offers a unique opportunity to engage in a wide variety of healthcare-related legal matters, working with a broad spectrum of healthcare providers, such as hospitals, community health centers, nursing homes, and human service organizations.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in healthcare-related litigation, including employment and compliance disputes, governance issues, and licensing matters.
  • Advise clients on issues such as HIPAA compliance, privacy, credentialing disputes, and disciplinary actions.
  • Handle peer review processes, survey and certification matters, and labor and employment law issues within the healthcare field.
  • Develop legal strategies and provide ongoing counsel to clients in the healthcare and human services industries.
  • Manage complex casework while maintaining strong client relationships and fostering effective communication.
  • Collaborate with team members on high-profile cases and contribute to firm-wide projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in litigation, with a preference for candidates with health care litigation experience.
  • Strong academic credentials with exceptional legal writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and handle complex legal matters.
  • Excellent work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Membership in the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility to waive in.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts or ability to waive in.
