Job Overview:

A law firm based in Menlo Park, CA, is seeking a Private Wealth and Fiduciary Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of litigation experience, preferably from an AmLaw 100 firm, and will be adept at handling complex legal issues involving trusts, decedents’ estates, conservatorships, and adult guardianships. This role offers the opportunity to engage in high-stakes trials, interact directly with clients deeply impacted by family disputes, and develop business in a niche area of law.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in fiduciary litigation matters, including disputes related to trusts, decedents' estates, conservatorships, and adult guardianships.
  • Manage a heavy trial practice, including preparing cases for trial, presenting evidence, and arguing on behalf of clients.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Develop and execute case strategies, including drafting motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and stay abreast of relevant laws and case precedents.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs, communicate effectively, and provide solutions that address their concerns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and potential clients, contributing to business development efforts within the firm.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to ensure comprehensive legal representation.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of litigation experience at an AmLaw 100 firm is preferred.
  • Experience or exposure to trusts and estates litigation, including issues involving trusts, decedents’ estates, conservatorships, or adult guardianships, is helpful.
  • Admitted to the California Bar.
  • Strong academic background from a top-tier law school.
  • Exceptional writing and analytical skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top-tier law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in California.
