Associate Attorney needed for Las Vegas office

Duties:

• Conduct thorough legal analysis and research to develop robust defense strategies.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests, depositions, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct depositions and provide client representation in litigation matters.
• Communicate effectively and promptly with clients on legal and factual matters.
• Maintain regular correspondence with client representatives and adjusters to update case status.
• Liaise professionally with courts, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel.
• Manage and expedite case progression, aiming for efficient resolutions.
• Represent clients in court appearances as necessary.
• Prepare and present witnesses and evidence for trials, hearings, and alternative dispute resolution.
• Track and document billable hours accurately, meeting monthly targets (average 175 hours/month).

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation and insurance defense.
• Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of making court appearances, both in-person and virtually.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and legal software.
• Availability for travel to various legal settings as needed.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Nevada State Bar license (California State Bar license preferred but not required).
