Litigation Associate Attorney

Duties:

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.
• Negotiate settlements and prepare for trial as necessary.
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in litigation, with a preference for insurance defense.
• Licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the willingness to learn database management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with clients, colleagues, and staff.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
