Job Overview:

Duties:

• Negotiate various business contracts, including software licenses, professional services, and technology agreements

• Identify legal risks and business issues in contracts

• Draft and review contract templates for the firm's repository

• Ensure contract compliance with firm policies and legal requirements

• Oversee the contract review process, ensuring efficiency and timely execution

• Maintain accurate tracking, filing, and organization of contracts

• Address legal matters related to intellectual property, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, privacy, and technology licensing

• Collaborate with internal departments to optimize contract processes

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract drafting and negotiation within a law firm or corporate legal department

• Strong understanding of contract negotiation principles in the legal industry

• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in New York, Illinois, or Washington, DC

Skills:

• Advanced contract negotiation and drafting skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)

• Strong problem-solving abilities and business acumen

• Excellent client communication and relationship management skills
