Healthcare Regulatory Attorney

A law firm seeks a highly skilled and motivated Healthcare Regulatory Attorney to join its Los Angeles office. This role focuses on providing strategic legal guidance to clients in the healthcare sector, including navigating complex regulatory requirements and facilitating high-level transactions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in healthcare regulatory compliance and a passion for addressing the evolving needs of the industry.

Duties

• Advise clients on compliance with state and federal health care regulations, including fraud and abuse laws, corporate practice of medicine rules, and antitrust laws.
• Support structuring and negotiation of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and private equity investments within the healthcare sector.
• Develop and implement healthcare contracts and governance frameworks.
• Provide regulatory counsel on licensure and value-based care arrangements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address operational and strategic issues.
• Represent a diverse client base, including hospitals, health systems, medical groups, digital health companies, and life sciences organizations.

Requirements

• Experience: 3–6 years of healthcare transactional experience, including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• Regulatory Expertise: Proficiency in fraud and abuse laws, state licensure, and corporate practice of medicine/fee-splitting regulations.
• Interest: Strong enthusiasm for healthcare trends and innovative solutions in the industry.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in good standing in the jurisdiction of practice.
