Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A distinguished law firm in Spring, TX, is currently seeking a motivated Associate Attorney. This position is ideal for a legal professional with a minimum of three years' experience in civil litigation, looking to contribute to a dynamic legal team. The candidate will be responsible for managing cases independently with minimal supervision, while working collaboratively on various commercial litigation matters.

Duties:

• Conduct in-depth legal research and case analysis.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Handle discovery processes, including answering discovery requests.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Work closely with clients to develop legal strategies and provide counsel.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Review and interpret legal contracts and other pertinent documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and litigation.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date case files.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership with the Texas State Bar.
• At least 3 years of experience in civil litigation.
• Strong ability to manage cases with minimal oversight.
• Interest or proven ability in generating new business is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a recognized, accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Texas State Bar.

Skills:

• Excellent legal drafting and writing skills.
• Proficiency in legal research, particularly using LexisNexis or other legal research platforms.
• Strong litigation and courtroom presence.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
