A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Investment Funds Associate Attorney with the following responsibilities and qualifications:

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Investment Funds Associate Attorney will provide legal counsel and support related to domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds. This role involves structuring transactions, advising on fund formations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence promptly.
  • Provide timely and accurate work products while meeting deadlines and firm expectations.
  • Foster positive relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including extensive computer work and virtual meetings.
  • Perform other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in investment funds, private equity, or related fields.
  • Experience with investments in, or formation of, domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds.
  • Preferred experience with secondary transactions, separately managed accounts, and carry vehicle structures.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Good business judgment and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Research and problem-solving abilities.
  • Conceptual thinking and ability to influence others.
  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in New York.
  • Admission to practice law in NY.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Bar Admission in New York.
