A well-established law firm in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking a Litigation Associate with 5-7 years of experience to join their Business Litigation Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. While real estate litigation experience is welcomed, it is not required. Duties:

  • Represent clients in complex business litigation cases, handling all aspects of litigation from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
  • Participate in discovery processes, including depositions, document reviews, and interrogatories.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for trials, hearings, and settlements.
  • Engage in client communications and provide legal counsel on litigation matters.
  • Appear in court and represent clients in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration and mediation.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of litigation experience, preferably in business litigation.
  • Strong academic record, with demonstrated legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
  • Real estate litigation experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in the State of Indiana (required).

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research, drafting motions, and preparing litigation documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
